How to cultivate Gratitude, Compassion and Pride on your Team
Most companies have taken profits and the bottom line as the only markers to measure their success. However, in the long-run, aspects such as compassion, gratitude and pride for the team make a huge impact on the overall well-being. Google took on a research assignment in a project titled Oxygen to study the managerial qualities most suited for team success. The results were that qualities around character and grit are more important than previously thought so. These emotions highlighted at the beginning lead to improved social bonds. The right talent management practices in turn also lead to enhanced employee loyalty, patience, perseverance and eventually productivity. These qualities also future-proof oneself against changing business priorities, as such people can adapt to varying requirements.
