The number of air travelers has increased by seventy five percent between the years of 2007 and 2018. Another development during this period has been the reduction in airport baggage problems. As per business intelligence shared by SITA, which is a global technology support service for air transport, the reduction in baggage misplacements has taken place by sixty- six percent. A mere 5.7 baggage per thousand travelers now get misplaced. This is in spite of the fact that about ninety- five percent of the baggage do run through irregularities, they get returned to the rightful owner. One of the reasons for this substantial improvement, is the deployment of baggage tracking solutions.
