As per the annual Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI), the importance of entrepreneurship in growing economies has become increasingly evident. The CEO of Chinese company Haier- Zhang Ruimin- has been placed at rank 24^th. He remains one of the world’s principal management consulting gurus. Zhang mentions how innovation is accorded top importance at Haier. Employees with an entrepreneurial mindset thus thrive at Haier. The middle- level has been reduced to quicken decision making. All this has enabled Haier to expand internationally at pace. Customers have been kept at the centre of the business’s decision- making. All this has led to a financial expansion at Haier. The company is even building several incubators to promote newer entrepreneurs.
